The Walter David Tiptons of Asheville, North Carolina

Updated January 7, 2008

This research began soon after the death of one of my very favorite relatives - my Great-Aunt Wilma Tipton Sanders. She wrote poems, worked really hard her whole life, raised and put up a big garden and loved her family. At her funeral I met, for the first time, a relative that I felt I'd known my whole life. We hit it off right away and will remain close always. Her name is Judi Gentry and after she showed me her family research, I was hooked. Please feel free to email me if you have additions and/or corrections. This is, assuredly, a work in process. The greatest part of this project has been meeting so many relatives that welcomed me into their homes, shared stories, and freely dispensed truly good hugs.
