The Walter Tippie Family Home Page

I'm searching for information on my great grandfather and his parents. His name was Harry Tippie and he married Mary Ellen Cox. I believe they were married in 1853 in Jacksonville, Illinois. They had 5 children: Walter (my grandfather), Lee, Arthur, Nina and Myrtle. Most of the children were born in the Kansas/Oklahoma area. I am very interested in Mary Ellen's mother. She was a full blood Cherokee Indian and I want to find out information on her.
