Died of kidney failure. Prostrate problem in 1992 which was not diagnosed as cancer, however, now they think it was cancer that had spread to the kidneys. Dave was in the Marines and stationed in Saipan in 1945. He was stationed most of the time in Cape Pendelton, Oceanside, CA. He had an operation and his unit went overseas without him; and, he joined it in 1945.

David G. Krug 80, of 289 N. Military Road, died Sunday, August 7, 1994, at ALL About LIfe Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 21, 1913, in the Town of Forest, a son of George and Anna Kinkel Krug. On September 12, 1936, he married Geraldine M. Scherer at St. Louis Church.
Mr. Krug served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. He formerly was employed at Rueping Leather Co., Miller Brewing Co., and retired from Giddings & Lewis Co. in 1976.
He was a member of Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie No. 270, Bohlman-Grimes VFW Post 1904 and American Legion Club of North Fond du Lac.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Shirley Ellis of Racine; three sons Kenneth, Karl and Gary, all of Fond du Lac; four grandsons, Tim, Ellis, Karl Jr., Kurt and Kevin; one great-grandson, Logan Ellis; and
two sisters, Verna Grunwald of Livonia, Michigan and Mildred Roy of Ripon, WI.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one daughter, Kay [a twin of son Karl); one brother; and one sister, Josephine Heath.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerome Wagner will officiate. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Tuesday to the time of services.

Anmnouncement of the approaching marriage of Miss Geraldine Scherer, 289 North Military Road and David Krug, 235 South Marr St., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Krug, was made at a tea given at 4 p.m. Monday at Mrs. Grolls Coffee Shoppe by Mrs. Charles Scherer, mother of the bride-elect. The wedding is planned for Sept. 12. Miss Scherer, a graduate of St. Marys Springs Academy in 1935, has assisted her mother in her beauty shop. Mr. Krug is employed at the Fred Rueping Leather Co.
A buffet luncheon was served to 14 guests. Tea was poured by Mrs. Scherer, assisted by Miss Mildred Scherer, aunt of the honored guest. Pink gladioli arranged in a crystal container were flarked with crystal
candelabra and lighted pink tapers. Guests included the Misses Eunice, Carol and Bernadette Scherer of West Bend.

Scherer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scherer, 289 North Military road became the bride of David G. Krug, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Krug of this city, at 9 a.m. today. The Rev. Julian Racette read the ceremony in the rectory of St. Louis Catholic church in the presence of immediate relatives and intimate friends of the couple. Complementing her costume, the bride wore a shoulder bouquet of yellow tea roses. Miss Josephine Krug, a sister of the bridegroom, was the bridesmaid. Her costume of flat crepe was of rust shade with a dark brown yoke. She wore a brown hat trimmed with a satin bow and her shoulder bouquet was of Talisman roses. S. Richard Heath was bestman. Thirty guests were served luncheon at Mrs. Grolls Coffee Shoppe. A reception followed in the afternoon at the Scherer home. Mr. and Mrs. Krug left on a short honeymoon in northern Wisconsin. They will be at home after October 1 at 114 West Second Street. David and Geraldine Krug, 289 N. Military Road, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They will mark the occasion today with a Mass at St. Louis Church and a dinner reception at Stonecrest Supper Club. The former Geraldine Scherer and Krug, both of the city, were married September 12, 1936 at St. Louis Church. The late Rev. Julian Racette performed the ceremony with the late Josephine Krug and Richard Heath serving as honor attendants.
Prior to retirement in 1975, Mr. Krug was employed with Giddings & Lewis. Mrs. Krug was employed with J.C. Penney until she retired in 1978. They are members of St. Louis Church. Krug is active with the
Eagles Club. Their children are Shirley Ellis of Racine, Karl, Kenneth and Gary, all of Fond du Lac, WI. They also have four grandchildren.

INFORMAL PARTY GIVEN AT FAIRBANK RESIDENCE
Mrs. R. C. Fairbank and Miss Martha Waters entertained informally Wednesday night at the home of Mrs. Fairbank, 100 Sheboygan street, complimentary to Mice Josephine Krug and Attorney S. Richard Heath. whose approaching marriage has been announced. The party was in the nature of a variety shower and Miss Krug received many gifts. Ten guests spent the evening playing bridge. Honors were presented to Dr. Ernest V. Smith, Jr., and Miss Krug. Refreshments were served at a table decorated with spring flowers in pastel shades.

Obituary - Fond du Lac Reporter October 15, 1948
Mrs. S. Richard Heath died at 6:15 p.m. Friday at St. Agnes hospital after an extended illness. The Heath home is at 15 Cottage avenue.
Wife of a Fond du Lac lawyer and farmer district attorney, Josephine D. Krug Heath was born in the city Aug. 18, 1915, a daughter of George and Anna Kinkel Krug and was married here April 16, 1937. Mrs. Heath was a member of St. Paul‘s Cathedral.
In addition to her widower, Mrs. Heath is survived by four children, David Richard, Katherine Mary, Margaret Ann and James William; her mother, city; two sisters, Mrs. Owen Roy, Green Lake, and Mrs. Raymond Grunwald, city; and a brother, David Krug, City.
The body is at the Candlish chapel, where services will be held at 9:00 am. Monday, Dean Robert D. Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Rienzi cemetery.

Obituary - Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter
      S. Richard Heath, 52, former district attorney and Fond du Lac county corporation counsel, died unexpectedly today at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes hospital. Mr. Heath was active in community affairs for years and also served as president of Fond du Lac Bar association. The Heath residence is at 15 Cottage avenue.
      Born here May 5, 1909, Mr. Heath was the son of William and Hattie Keyser Heath. He was married to Josephine Krug on April 16, 1937. She died in 1948. Mr. Heath Was married to Audrey Dille on June 20, 1949.
      Mr. Heath atteded Fond du Lac schools and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin law school where he was elected to Coif, honorary legal fraternity. He was a member of the Wisconsin Bar association, the Family Court Commission association, and the Knights of Pythias.
      Mr. Heath was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 10:30 a.m., the Very Rev. Dean A. Gulick, dean, officiating.
      Mr. Heath resigned as district attorney in 1946 because of ill health. Mr. Heath also served as the family court commissioner for the county, the successor to the former divorce counsel in Wisconsin under provision of the state family code. Mr. Heath assumed his posts with the county on July 1, 1955. As corporation counsel, he handled all civil litigations for the county.
      On June 29, 1941, Mr. Heath was appointed by former Gov. Julius P. Heil to succeed George M. St. Peter as district attorney.
      As district attorney, Mr. Heath won many criminal cases. He collaborated with Eugene F. McEssey in the Clayton Lambert murder case in 1958 in which the defendant was convicted of one first degree murder offense and later pleaded guilty to another.
      Survivors are the widow; two sons, David Richard Heath, Milwaukee, and James W. Heath, at home; and four daughters, Miss Katherine Heath, Milwaukee, and Margaret Ann, Debra Kay, and Heide Ellen Heath, all at home.
      The body will lie in state at the Candlish chapel after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Rienzi cemetery.

Announcement of the engagement of Miss Josephine Krug, daughter of Mrs. Anna Krug, 114 West Second street, and Attorney S. Richard Heath son of Mrs. W. H. Heath, 84 West Arndt street, was made at a party given Wednesday night by Miss Krug's mother and her sister, Mrs. Owen Roy, at the home of the latter in Ripon. The wedding is planned for April 16 and will be solemnized in St. Paul‘s Cathedral.
Twelve guests spent the evening playing bridge. Awards went to Mrs. David Krug, Miss Josephine Krug and Mrs. Ruth Keyser. Miss Krug was presented with a hostess gift. Refreshments were served at small tables with appointments in keeping with St. Patrick‘s day.
Miss Krug is employed as a beauty operator at the Bennett Beauty Craft shop. Mr. Heath who was graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1931 and completed his law course in 1934, is practicing his profession in the city.

St. Augustine‘s chapel in St. Paul‘s Cathedral joined a picturesque setting for the quiet marriage service read at 10 a. m. today for the wedding of Miss Josephine Krug, daughter of Mrs. Anna Krug, 114 West Second street, and Attorney S. Richard Heath, son of Mrs. Hattie D. Heath, 34 West Arndt street. Canon A. J. Dubois presided at the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Richard McMillan were the only attendants.
The bride wore a gray suit trimmed with gray fur and a small straw hat of dubonnet shade. Her shoulder bouquet was of red and white rosebuds. Mrs. McMillan's suit of navy blue was worn with a navy blue hat. Her shoulder bouquet was of pink roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Heath left on a honeymoon ta Chicago. They will be at home after May 1 at 411 Third street. Mr. Heath, who was graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1931 and completed his law course in 1934, is practicing his profession in the city.

Parents of the couple are Glenn A. Hebert, 30 W. Sibley St., and the late Mr. and Mrs. S. Richard Heath.
Peggy Heath-Hermann, the bridegroom's sister, was matron of honor and Jake LaPlante was best man.
Heath was graduated from Goodrich High School in 1967. He served with the Marine Corps and is employed as assistant manager of Jet Stream Car Wash.
The couple will reside at 100 E. Ninth St.
