Robert Theveninin enlisted in the Civil War first for a Three month period, from 22 Apr. 1861-Aug. 28, 1861 Regm. O. V. then again he enlisted 19 July 1862 to 29 Jun 1865 inthe 18th. Ind. Batt. O. V. Light Artillery. He was int he same outfit as his brother Francis Collin Thevenin, and his brother-in-law Grandville Leach, husband of Phoebe Thevenin, their sister.

Funny you should mention Harry's cooking skills as mother was telling me
the other day how he used to blacken his eggs in grease and cover them in
pepper.
To this day my mom won't put pepper on eggs we have to add our own. She really liked Maude a lot and used to visit her as well. She says she
remembers her as a very sweet woman. She can't find any pictures of her
yet, but she gave a picture of Thomas to me in his Spanish American war uniform. She also remembers Emma but liked Maude better! I have a very dark photo of Emma as an adult withher husband Frank Rivers.
