Charles Maxwell built the first two story brick house, saw & grist mill at Cross Creek, Jeff. Co. Oh. This is the original house being restored. It is located on the Old Rt. 22 from Cadiz to Wintersville, Oh. Built about 1809, his son David born here in 1810.
