David W. Maxwell son of David & Sarah (Ball) Maxwell, grandson of Charles & Sarah Maxwell pioneer settlers of Jeff. Co. Oh. David was a carpenter contractor and built many homes in Steubenville area. Had a street named after him called "Maxwell Ave." He served in the GAR during the Civil War.
