RoyTobin 1832 Avenida La Posta Encinitas,CA 92024 | This large extended family, with roots east of the Atlantic, coalesced in California's San Joaquin Valley in the 19th and 20th Centuries.Included are thousand of persons, all related by blood, marriage or adoption.It is intended primarily for use by hundreds of living descendants in the hope that knowledge of their common roots will be preserved. The collection was begun in the 1880s by Harry Hurst, continued by his descendants, with contributions by family historians in other related families.It is presented in "book" format (PDF)and may be downloaded in its entirety or in part.The Table of Contents is on page 7. Sources are not included but will be made available to serious researchers.Sources include the Hurst legacy data (Hurst Family Diary), FGRs and trees by family historians, Census tracts, interviews, vital records, and records submitted to online websites including Family Search and Ancestry.com. The "Text Item" in the "Hurst Family Book" is a listing of more than 600 immigrant ancestors of persons in this genealogy, listed in order of their arrival in North America, and begins on page 916. Last updated 3 November, 2005 with post-Asilormar additions and corrections for Stevenson, Burton, Sutherland and Wyllie.
