Having been a child of divorced parents I barely got to know my father. I have always wanted to know "who I came from". When I saw my father for the first time since early childhood I realized he was part of me. This caused my interest in genealogy. I wanted to know everyone I was related to -- even by marriage. I had always longd for aunts uncles cousins and so forth.
