Our family lineage originated with the union of MAJOR BRADLEY & MARY BAILEY of Baton Rouge, La in the early 1800's.Mary gave birth to 7 children: Isiah, Olive, Morris, Amelia, Elinora, Rachel, and Mary Jane. The family migration to NE Louisiana proved fruitful as they settled in Bunches Bend, East Carroll Parish of Lake Providence. My gggrandmother,ELINORA(ELLA)BRADLEY married EMANUEL JOHNS, of W Carroll Parish of Pioneer La in November of 1900.Their family grew with the birth of 5 children: Emanuel Jr,Goldie,Mamie,Isiah, and Clifton. The family moved to St Louis, Mo with the transfer of The Pioneer Cooperage Company, in 1924.The last BRADLEY-JOHNS survivor of this saga, was my grandmother, MAMIE JOHNS JONES, who succumbed to her death in December of 1999, preceding her husband, Claude, and 4 of the 11 children she bore, who still reside in St Louis, Missouri.
