James Black6 died 1813 in Bracken County Ky.. He married Nancy.
Notes for James Black: Land records for Bracken and Mason counties indicate that James Black owned 120 acres on East side of Bracken Creek near Germantown Ky. They arrived there about 1789 and Began farming. It is very likely they came from Cumberland co. Pa. as I have found the marriage record of James Black and Nancy Robinson in 1767 In Cumberland co. Pa. This record also shows James as the son of John Black and Abigail. See John Fredrick Black. This family matches very well with John and Drucilla's family. There are however some discrepancies that make it necessary for more research. James Black's will 1813 gives 59.5 acres to his son William, 59.5 acres to his son James and 20 dollars to his son John Black. John and Drucilla Black had 120 acres very near if not bordering James' land. Both families claimed Thier land in 1789. This shows they came together and were related. The fact James willed John cash rather than land would indicate John already had land. I therefore believe John husband of Drucilla to be the son of James and Nancy Black. It is possible but not Likely that this James and John Black are brothers.
Children of James Black and Nancy are:
+John Black, b., Pa., d. 1816, Bracken County Ky..
