William Black (son of James Black and Nancy) died date unknown. He married Elizabeth Taylor on 20 Oct 1797 in Bracken County Ky.⁹.

Notes for William Black:
William is the most likely of two possible fathers of James B Black. The other being a John Black that was not in the area very long and it appears the entire family left with him. The 1810 Bracken co. Ky. census shows William being age 26-44 his wife being 26-44 and 2 boys ages 0-9, 3 girls ages 0-9 and one girl age 10-15. The 1820 census shows William being 45 and over, his wife 26-44 years, 3 boys 0-9 years, 1 boy 16-18-years, 7 girls 0-9 years, 3 girls 10-15 years, 1girl 16-25 years. That is a lot of girls! William is not on the 1830 or any further Bracken co. Ky. census record. I will soon check william Black's will to verify his children.
