Ken Todd's Ancestral Research

Updated March 2, 2005

Peter TODD (1755-1840) was in the North Carolina Militia during the War of the Revolution. Peter married Hannah CORNELISON in 1779 before moving with his family to Madison County, Kentucky in 1795 or 1797.

Jesse TODD (1792-1865) married Lucy Isabella Dalton in 1812 before moving with his family to Howard County, Missouri. In 1839, Jesse's family became one of the early pioneers of DeKalb County, Missouri, where he was one of the first ministers of the region and helped found the area's first church in 1842.

William TODD (1825-1858) had 11 children by two wives in his short life.

Issac Newton TODD (1851-1914) married Joanna Rock PORTER in 1872 before bringing his family to California by train in 1880.

I am also researching the Johannas and Gottfried HANDEL families who emigrated from Würtemmburg, Germany (ca. 1800) to Grosslibental, South Russia (ca. 1850) to Hutchinson County, South Dakota (ca. 1890) before settling in Lodi, California around the turn of the century.
