      2.  Abram Abraham2 Terah (Son of Terah1) was born Abt. 1570 in Ur of Chaldees.  He married (1) Hagar Egyptian.  She was born in Egypt, and died in Arabia.  He married (2) Sarai Sarah Terah Abt. 1615 in Ur of Chaldeas, daughter of Terah and Sarais Mom.  She was born Abt. 1580, and died 1707 in Canaan.

Notes for Hagar Egyptian:  Galatians 4: 23 & 30-31 His son by the slave woman was born in the ordinary way; but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a promise.  30  But what does the Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son."  31  Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman (Hagar), but of the free woman [Sarah}.

Notes for Sarai Sarah Terah:  Galatians 3:16  The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.  John 1:12-12 (NIV)  Yet to all who received him (Christ), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

Galatians 4:22-23  For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.  23  His son by the slave woman was born in the ordinary way; but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a promise.

Notes for Sarai Sarah Terah:  Galatians 3:16  The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.

Notes for Levi:  Twelve landowning tribes comprise the nation of Israel plus the priestly tribe of Levi as the thirteenth tribe living in towns among the twelve.

Notes for Elihu Terah:  Job 32: 1-8 and ff.

In reference to Job 42:8  Elihu and his speech about Job's self-defensiveness was a summation to the poem and, by omission in Job 42: 7 & 8, was acceptable to God, of course, as evidenced by non-corrective requirements.

[Elihu and his speech as a summation to the poem about Job's patience were acceptable, of course.]

      25.  Joseph5 Terah (Jacob Israel4, Isaac3, Abram Abraham2, Terah1)  He married Priestess.

Notes for Joseph Terah:

Genesis 48:5  Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine;  Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine.

(Israel is about to speak the blessing as Joseph thus receives a double portion of land inheritance usually due the firstborn, since each of these sons will inherit land with the eleven other sons of Israel, making thirteen tribes.  Note, however, Reuben has forfeited this firstborn birthright and received a single portion of land.  (See Gen. 35:22 & 49:4)

Further, the tribe of Levi inherits the tithes (ten percent of farm production) from the other twelve tribes and minimal lands near towns scattered within the other brother's inheritances.
