John Tomberlin named commissioner of road from the Milledgeville Road to Turkey Creek.  John Tomberlin name overseer, replacing Peter Thomas (Key #3, Page 20).

John Tomberlin of Laurens County, sold to Wright R. Coleman of Jefferson County 2nd land district , land lot 77.  $250.00.

 

March 1826  (Key #48, Pages 34-48)

Plaintiff was Tomberlin, administrator of the estate of Elizabeth McCormick.  His attorney was Lott Warren.  Defendant was Thomas P. Smith.  Case was $250.00 for value of bay horse.  April 1828, verdict for plaintiff.  Verdict appealed.  April 1829 verdict for plaintiff.

Plaintiff was Tomberlin.  Defendant was Thomas Peter Smith.  Defendant attorneys announce that will file motion for new trial.  Case involved the breeding of a horse.
