I am searching for information concerning James B. Mills who was born in Alabama in March 1833.He had children with Nancy Jane Herrington in Leake County, Mississippi.Between 1900 and 1910, he had children with Alice Regan in Texas.In 1900, Jane Mills was living with their daughter Elizabeth (John and Elizabeth Ellis).Currently, I have not located him in 1900. After returning to MS, he moved in with his son Irvin Mills.He is listed in the 1920 census with Irvin.His children in Texas were Bill, Morgan, R.Q., Alfred and Mary. I have copies of his military records and Confederate Pension Applications for MS and TX.I am trying to determine who his parents were.
I am also searching for information about Christopher Bowley who was born in Augusta, Maine.
My husband's grandfather was Bennie Hamp Tompkins.He was born in 1910.His siblings were Bertie, Nancy Ann, Aurilla, Tom, Jesse and O.B. Tompkins.His parents were Harrison and Nancy Jane (Jordan) Tompkins.They lived and died in Newton County.
