Thomas Toon (son of Thomas Toon and Elizabeth Hiscock) was born May 1698 in Hoby, Leicestershire, and died 1768 in Syston. He married (1) Elizabeth Bilson on 24 Dec 1724 in Syston, Leicester, daughter of Joseph Bilson and Margaret Needham. He married (2) Elizabeth Knap on 30 Aug 1747 in Somerby, Leicestershire¹⁶³⁹.
