| Here's the family tree so far. Starting from the Toon and Carvell family and stretching back... My sisters and I grew up in Syston, Leicestershire, England, which was home to the Toon family for several centuries (everyone knows the Toons in Syston)! My mother grew up in Belgrave, Leicester--a long but walkable distance along the Melton Road towards Leicester. Now my youngest sister and I both live a long way from England, and through this research have learned that we also have family in both South Africa and Australia! The world is a small place... but the two places that make me think "home" are The Green, in Syston, and Syston Street, in Leicester. Neither look like they did when I was a child, nor do the same people live there any more, but the pictures, the faces and the scents are still here, part of me. Note that I have some so-far unconnected Bonnett families in my tree. While trying to trace "our" Bonnetts further, I've documented other local families, in case one day we find the link.
