In search of descendants of: Hugh O'CONNOR b abt 1790, of Clash, Kilquane,West of Mt Brandon, Co Kerry, Ireland. Married Johanna FITZGERALD on Jan 21,1810 of Ballynavenoorah of the same parish. Children: Edmond b 1810, Hugh b abt 1812, Catherine b 1813, John Hugh b 1816, Margaret b 1818, James b 1823, Maurice (Morris) b Feb 11,1821 who married Catherine MARTIN of Garrane, Kilmalkedar; Feb 22, 1846 on Shrove Tuesday. Son Hugh O'Connor was born Oct 26, 1846 in Garrane.

Catherine Martin b Nov 8, 1818, dau of James Martin and Catherine MORIARITY of Garrane, Kilmalkedar. Siblings: Ellen b 1809, John b 1812, Daniel b 1816, Margaret b 1821, James b 1829. Catherine and Maurice (aka Morris Connor, Conner) were seperated by "Adversities of Fortune" when she and her brothers, James and John were supposed to have emigrated July 1847, thru Quebec for upper Canada, but was not there by the time Maurice put an ad in the Boston Pilot; Nov 13, 1847 looking for her. According to his obituary he emigrated some time in 1847. Eventually reunited, they settled in "The Patch"; Vernon St and Reeds Hill area of Brattleboro, Vt. where his work laying track on the new Vermont & Massechusets RR ended in 1849. Children of Maurice and Catherine in the USA: John b 1849 (Holyoke? Brattleboro?), Edmund b 1850 in Wardsboro, Vt., (m Nellie GREANEY b 1849 Quay, Cloghane, Co Kerry. of Holyoke Ma. on Oct. 1870, in Brattleboro, Vt. her parents were Michael and Bridget{BOWLER}Edmond died Dec 16 1870,son Eddie born July 1871 Holyoke. Other children of Maurice and Catherine: James b 1851, Mary b 1856, Johanna A. b 1857 ( m Patrick Heffron of Putney, Vt.), John married Mary Heffron (below) July 1874, at St Michael's RC Church, Brattleboro, Vt. John became a well known builder and contractor in the Brattleboro area. Thier son John Jr. became a Dr, graduating from the Univ of Vermont in 1898.

Parents of Mary Heffron: Robert HEFFRON b 1830 (aka Hubert, Rupert),(aka Hefferan/ Heffernan/ Hefron/ Hevernan)& Bridget MURPHY b 1835; also parents of Catherine ("Katie") b Nov 27,1864. Rented land from the Thomas Lindsay Estate: Hollymount, Kilcommon Civil Parish, Roundfort RC Parish, Ballinrobe PLU, Kilmaine Barony, southern part of Co. Mayo, Ireland. Other children: Mary b abt 1850-53, Patrick b 1855, Margaret "Maggie" b 1858 (m Daniel CROWLEY of Putney, Vt), James b 1861, all born in Hollymount.The family emigrated early 1870.
