According to Burke's Landed Gentry, John Beatty was an immigrant from Ireland. He is possibly
Scotch-Irish. There are two factors that lead us to believe he is Scotch-Irish and not Irish. First, we have no
evidence that any of the Beaty's were ever part of the Catholic faith. Second, the timing of his immigration
was at the beginning of the Scotch-Irish "Great Migration", 1700-1780.

married second: Henrietta, last name unknown, who survived him.
