Research started in Grandby,Canada in the 1980's by 2 brothers', one a doctor and the other a lawyer. They gathered information along the St.Lawerence Seaway and it led them to Normandy,France. Most info came from the churches they visited and followed the information from place to place. This took them over a year. I hooked up with them through a telephone operator in Grandby. They forwarded charts and a book in French-Canadian to me. I did not put all the Trepanier info on line, it would take me a month to do it all. I just followed my personal lineage back to 1607 and my wife's. I still have a lot of holes to fill in but wanted to get started on line.
