| I am researching the TRIMPEY's of SW Pennsylvania. Also, I am trying to establish possible links to TRIMPE's. The surname has been traced to GERMANY with ancestors coming from the Oldenburg and/or Hanover areas and coming to America in the early 1800's. Two in particular, DEITRICH and FREDERICK, settled and remained in Somerset County, Pa. Others, possibly, and some decendents moved to the midwest. Other related ancestor surnames: YOUNKIN, MEYERS (MOYERS), FAIDLEY, NICOLA, ANSELL. |
