I am searching my paternal grandfather, Korah Vaughn TROUT, family lines back through Clark County IL, Muskingum, Morgan, Perry, and Hocking Counties OH, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Loudoun Counties VA, York County, PA, and includes the MOORE, AMENT, and PAULIS lines. My current end of line is Paul TRAUT, b. 1731 in PA. Other TROUT branches from Clark County IL are MCDANIEL and ELLIOTT lines, which go back through IN and NC to Scotland. Allied TROUT lines in the Clark & Coles County IL area include MAUK, AULD, MCFARLAND, COURTNEY, WINKLEBLACK, and WINKLER. My paternal grandmother, "Nancy Olive ANDERSON," line goes back through Rooks County KS, Monongalia County WV, Greene County PA, Ulster County NY, and Ireland. Branches of that line include TEMPLE back through Greene PA, NJ, and Salem MA to England, and the MASTERS, PARK, and KUHN lines back through Monongalia County, WV to Greene County PA.

My maternal grandfather, Timothy Cornelius HATCH, line includes Thomas HATCH of Barnstable, the FISH and EDDY back to England, as well as COUSINS, HOBBS, EAMES, BARTEAU (BARTO), CONANT, SEWARD, BUSHNELL, NORTON, KELLOGG, and GAGE. Most lines go back through Monroe County IA, Fulton County IL, Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties OH, Onandago and Franklin Counties NY, Addison County VT, New Haven CT, Barnstable MA, and England. My maternal grandmother, Sarah Susan BORGER, line goes back through Monroe County IA, Montgomery County OH, Berks County PA, and the Palatinate. Additional BORGER branches include SHAFFER, FOUTS, and HOOVER from Montgomery County OH via PA to Germany and Switzerland, as well as DRESCHER from Berks PA to the Palatinate.

I have also researched the lines for my former wife, for the benefit of my lovely daughters. My former wife's father's line includes the MARTINSON, DEMPSEY, and HERLIEHEY lines back though Sisseton SD to Sweden, Norway, and Ireland. Michelle's mother's lines include KINNER back to Rock Island, IL, as well as the FIELD line through Erie PA, MA, and England, and related lines such as DOLAN and GUIRE. Her lines also include HASKA, DOUBRAVA, SOKOL, PETERKA, and related lines through Ellsworth KS, Cuyahoga OH, and Czechoslovakia.

**Notes:

>> Dates and certain facts for living relatives have been marked as "private."

>> Many of my family sites have been noted with Long/Lat and/or UTM grids for those interested in walking the found sites. DeLorme's excellent "Street Atlas USA 6.0" and "Topo USA" CD's both have place name and Long/Lat search capability. Also see the "related links" section below regarding USGS and TerraServer.com sites for on line research using "place name" search engines. I have also added a link for ordering USGS quads, a great tool for serious researchers plotting family deeds, or searching for related family sites or cemeteries. Also, note the great link for "DeedMapper" software.

>> My research into my own TROUT line has resulted in much information on other unrelated TROUT lines which is included here for the benefit of all. Other TROUT lines include the Wendle TRAUT line from Lancaster, PA, and the John Baltzar TRAUT line which eventually settled in the Shenandoah Valley.

** Recent major edits have been to my MASTERS line to include Henry MASTERS' maarriage to Barbary KEENER and her line.
