Elyvon Hafford Morehead, 84, of Cairo, a native of Louisiana, Mo., died Friday
at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Surviving are her husband, Morris MOREHEAD; a son,
John HAFFORD of Carterville; a daughter, Susan Hafford Brown of Carterville;
two stepdaughters, Morrissa Clanahan of Mound City and Ouida Haralambidis
of Olive Branch; a brother, John Tucker of Hampton, Va.; three sisters, Lois
Nelms of Paducah, Avis Wirth of Houston and Thelma Kearney of Sun City, Ariz.;
seven grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn
Hafford; a son, James Hafford; and a brother. Her parents were John and Effa
Mae Johnson Tucker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral
Home here with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood
Cemetery in Mounds.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home.
