Edwards: beginning with Lindsay and Sophia around 1792 in Rockbridge County, Virginia and continuing westward with them through Tennessee and Arkansas; Burnett: beginning in the early 1600's in Aberdeen, Scotland and moving to Virginia in the 1630's and westward to Tennessee where Mary Emeline married Thomas Edwards in 1849; Kratz: beginning with their immigration from Germany in 1853 through the US to Arkansas, where Carrie Elizabeth married Franklin Edwards in the early 1900's; Carpenter: beginning in the late 1700s in North Carolina, following their migration through Georgia and Mississippi and Arkansas and focusing on the marriage of Fred to Hazel Edwards in 1936; Cavit/Cavet/Cave: beginning with their French military service in the late 1600's in Mississippi and Louisiana, their marriage into the Simpson, Beckman and Carpenter families when Mamie Beckman married Walter Warren Carpenter.
