My particular area of interest is my paternal grandfather, Julius Tuckerman, who was born in Iasi, Romania, 23 March 1874. He emigrated to the US from Romania about 1891. Julius's father was Morris or Maurice Tuckerman, and was also born in Iasi. I believe they were German nationals. Julius's mother was Roscalie Kane. She was born in Siret, Bukovia, which was an Austrian crownland at the time of her birth. I would like to be able to obtain birth certificates for Julius and his parents, and also learn if he had any siblings who remained in Romania. Any information/suggestions will be much appreciated. I am happy to share whatever information I have. |
