* Tucker/Sullivan: Our Missouri, Kentucky, and Illinois Roots*

Updated November 18, 2000

Welcome! We are fairly new to the world of genealogy, having only been searching in earnest during the past year, but have always been interested in "our roots". Since beginning our geneaological journey, we have met some very wonderful people and have even met several cousins on both sides of the family, some who have become not only "found relatives" but are now considered friends as well.

On the Tucker side of the family, the major names we are researching include:

The Tucker family of Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
The Greenley family of Southern Illinois.
The Mattingly famly of Maryland, Kentucky, & Southeast Missouri.
The Davis family of Kentucky and Southern Illinois.
The Cambron family of Maryland, Kentucky, and Missouri.

On the Sullivan side of the family, the major names we are researching include:

The Sullivan family of Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois.
The Smith family of Livingston County, Kentucky.
The Wildi/Wildy family of Switzerland and Illinois.
The Hill family of Western Kentucky.

We have much information on some branches and very little information on others. We have chosen not to add the Goslee/Greenley family line to this site as most of the information for this branch of our family came about as the result of many years of hard work by one of our cousins and we feel the authorship of this work belongs to him. If you are interested in the Greenley branch of the family, please e-mail us and we will put you in touch with one another.

At the present time, we are particularly researching William Tucker who was born in 1849-1850 and is listed on 1880 census as a resident of Perry County, Missouri. He married Sarah Ann Mattingly some time around 1870-1871. Information on this relative seems to be particularly elusive and has become a major roadblock.

Please enjoy our pages and feel free to contact us for any information we may have on our families.
