I have been trying to connect my family to the Australian Burketts without much success. We have a James (1880s)who I think is the son of Joseph (early 1800s). However, James was born in Ireland and I can't trace the link!!! My now deceased Aunty Pearl Marcelle Burkett did a lot of ground work before the days of computers but I don't know how she found the link! Hope to be able to contact more Burketts with this.
