I started researching my family history a couple of years ago and have been quite successful in finding information about the Tullier side and the Cupit side of the family. It can be frustrating, but suddenly you'll find a small bit of information that will lead to a wealth names and history.

The Tulliers were Acadians who came from France on a ship called L'Amie. They settled in and around Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Cupits came from Ireland, so family tradition says and originally settled in South Carolina and eventually ended up in McCall, Mississippi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I am stumped on my Grandmother Cupit's family. I have her parents' name, but that is as much as I have.
