-tummaleh- family starts when in about 1830 a young man named (ebraheem) arrived to annaba-palestine (7 km from city of ramla), identifying him self that he comes from upperegypt - soohag province from a town called(tima),from here started our family, no one ever explained how it became with this spelling,(tummaleh,tomaleh,tomalih,tommalieh,tommaleh,tumaleh,tomalieh,tumalieh)how you write it in latin the spelling in arabic stays(طمليه)
,(jarad)was used by mr khader dawood muhammad tummaleh and his sons there after when he arrived to iraq after 1948 palestinian exudus ,(jarad)(grasshoppers)was our surname(nickname)in annaba because of our large family, the young man worked as a sheap keeper until he owned a large number for himself and he got married in town, and later became one of the largest families in town

في حوالي 1830 يأتي شاب اسمه ابراهيم الى عنابة - فلسطين (7كلم عن مدينة الرملة)ويعرف نفسه على انه قادم من الصعيد المصري منطقة سوهاج من بلدة تدعى(طمه)من هنا تبدأ عائلة طمليه في فلسطين استعمل اسم -جراد-من قبل السيد خضر داوود محمد ابراهيم طمليه واولاده من بعده عندما هاجروا بعد النكبة الى العراق سنة 1948 -جراد- هو كنية-نكابية-لدار طمليه في عنابه حيث ان عددهم كان كثيرا
واشتغل الشاب ابراهيم في رعي الغنم حتى اصبح يملك قطيعا لنفسه ثم تزوج من اهل البلد ومن هنا كون عائلة من اكبر عائلات عنابه واغناها
