I am researching the Turnbulls, McGinns, Sopers, and Denhams at this time. I have found that there are strong ties England in this family as the Sopers, Denhams, and Greens were all from there. The Turnbulls are believed to be from Scotland and the McGinns from Ireland.

I know that the Turnbulls lived in the Montreal, Quebec in 1873, as there is a marriage between Robert Turnbull and Abastena McGinn at Erskin Presbyterian Chruch. Robert's parents were John Turnbull and Gwen Clapperton, and Abastena McGinn's parents were Thomas McGinn and Abastenia Philina. I have been led to believe that both sets of parents had pasted away at the time of the marriage between Robert and Abastena.

The Sopers and the Denhams are both English families. It is believed that the Sopers may have had a street named after them in England (Soper Street) however this has not been confirmed. I know that William George Denham was a dairy farmer in England and was married to Elizabeth Lambert. They had a daughter named Alice Jessie Denham, born April 28, 1888 in Wondsworth, Surrey, England. Alice Jessie's husband was Henry James Soper, born December 31, 1890. Henry's father may have had the same name, however the first name may have been Harry (abt. 1855- 1924). Harry's parents were James Soper and Mary Ane.
