G Ervine Turner** 1865-1942 m 1889 G Rachel Raleigh 1802-1907 - Lumber/logging business (client: L&N RR). Rachel was d/o John Raleigh 1837-1921 and Elizabeth Turner 1837-1920. Children of Ervine and Rachel: Sam 1890-abt 1930 (Ona Wells), John 1892-1926 (Susan Byrd), Armina 1898-1989 (Francis Deaton), my father Walter 1901-1987 (Emma Ruth Gabbard), Elizabeth 1903-1956 (Ance Riley), and Hargis 1907-1982 (Eliz. Treadway). G Rachel died due to Hargis' birth complications. Ervine's twin John raised Hargis as his own. Hargis was Breathitt County Auditor and Treasurer for many years. He retired from school teaching and post office.

G Ervine 2nd wife Polly Ann Herald 1888-1952. They had seven children: Bryan 1911-1964 (never m.), Alice 1912-1988 (Wilson Sandlin), Woodrow 1916-1975 (Mabel Turner), Rachel 1921-2000 (Luther Turner), Ruth 1922-1995 (Dorsey Spicer), Naomi 1926-1989 (Thomas Neal), and Marie 1929-2002 (Moses Turner).

GG Torrence Larkin Turner 1820-1887 m 1839 GG Mary Polly Herald 1825-1906 and owner of thousands of acres on Middle Fork, Lick Branch, Long's Creek, Bowlings Creek, Turner's Creek, and where Buckhorn Lodge is now. Their twelve children: Priscilla (died young), Elizabeth (Irv Spicer), Jennie (James Herald), Alexander (Cordelia Deaton), Sarah (Wm. Deaton),Sylvania (died young), Elvira (died young), Elmia (no record), Emily (Granville Raleigh), Wm R. (Millie Spicer), my g'pa twin Ervine (**see above), and twin John (Mary Polly Ann Deaton). John and Polly had seven children: Judge William Turner 1886-1949, Judge Ervine Turner 1890-1968 (Marie R Roberts) first millionnaire and first organizer of Bank in Breathitt Co., Judge and Senator, Dr. Grandville V. Turner 1980-1957 (Charlene Treadway) Dr. in Breathitt, Owsley & Perry Co., Alexander Turner 1893-1976 (Calla Combs), Isabelle 1895-1910, Jalia Turner 1898-1980 (Geo Allen) teacher & Ida Mae Turner 1897-1976 (F Campbell) school teacher/superintendent.

Their children were: Edward 1897-1986 (Stella Blankenship), Walter 1898-1923, my mother Emma Ruth 1901-1998 (Walter Turner), Lon (died young), Thomas 1910-1988 (Hazel Callahan), Claborn (died young), Mary (died young), Howard 1918-living (1-Matilda McKnight, 2-Lena Barr, & 3-Eula Watkins), Elihu & Milard (died young), G Letcher was son of Willis Teen Gabbard and Mary Bishop. Sarah Jane Hollon was daughter of Henry Hollon and America Johnson 1864-1937. Henry was son of Levi Hollon and Elizabeth 'Fanny' Couch. America Johnson was daughter of Matthew Johnson and Cinda Roberts.
