The ISAACHSEN family is from Norway, most probably Oslo. JOHN GUSTAV ISAACHSEN, and his wife, MALENE OLSEN, daughter of OLAF OLSEN, emigrated to the United States between 1875 and 1880, probably arriving through New York state. They were residing in Brooklyn, NY in 1887, then moved to Chicago, IL sometime prior to 1889. Numerous decendants of John and Malene still reside in the Chicagoland area.
The BAADE family originally haled from Germany. ADOLPH A BAADE, born in Lencem, Germany, brought his wife, AMALIE VON GEISENDORF, born in Brandenburg, Prussia and daughter of ANDREA VON GEISENDORF and MARIE KOPPE, and family from Berlin, Germany to the U.S. sometime after 1877, but prior to 1886. Amalie had another spouse, JOHN REIBOCK, whom she probably married after Adolph's death in 1886. Descendants of Adolph and Amalie are mainly concentrated in Lake County, Illinois.

JOHN TURNER and his wife, MARY CAMERON JAMES were both born in Scotland and later emigrated to the U.S., sometime prior to 1928. It is believed that CAMERON is Mary's mother's maiden name. Many descendants of John and Mary currently reside in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

ALBERT MATTHEWS, born in Chicago, Illinois, son of GUSTAV MATTHEWS and LOUISE SPEAKERMAN, married HELEN KREUTZBERGER, born in Kovno, Russia and daughter of ALBERT KREUTZBERGER and MATILA HERRING, in the early 1920's. After Helen's death in 1944, Albert remarried a woman with the first name of PEARL. Albert had additional children by Pearl; the two were residing in Tucson, AZ at the time of Albert's death in 1973.
