| WENTZEL or WENZEL /MINNESOTA/WEST PRUSSIAMy great-grandfather, Julius WENTZEL/WENZEL, son of Johann & Rosa (TROJAN), immigrated to America from Zempelburg/Lindebuden, West Prussia in the 1860s via Canada /Michigan /Wisconsin. He and his brothers, Augustus/Michael/Karl,ended up homesteading in Polk County (Fisher/Crookston) Minnesota. Julius married Caroline, daughter of Frederick RADI and Anna JAHR also from West Prussia. RESEARCHING OTHER SURNAMES: MIRWALD/MIERWALD/ISSEL and SAUER/MILLER/SCHMIDT from BUKOVINA, former Austrian Empire. I have found dozens of Bukovina cousins online ... always room for some more. SENSKE....SITZ...GESKE....POLAND or WEST PRUSSIA, possibly ALSACE-LORRAINE TURNER..HENNIGAN...HEAD from ALABAMA/TEXAS GOSS....from GEORGIA/TEXAS...My husband's grandmother was Dora(POLLAND)GOSS.
