Notes for REVEREND WILLIAM TURNER:
The partiarch of our Turner family was Reverend William Turner, b 1645 in Aberdeeneshire in the Highlands of Scotland. He married Mary McLemore in 1670. He was a minister of the Kirk (Presbyterian Church) of Scotland. They migrated to Ireland to escape religious persecution and in 1680, with a large following, migrated to the Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay in Maryland near Snow Hill in what became Worcester County. He died in 1681, soon after arriving in America.
