Find Family
I am interested in the following surnames, Beezley, Cassel, Crusen, Heflin, Johnston, Kimberly, Piper, Plum, Prickett, & Wilson.
Most of the information in my family tree was by my father, George Piper Beezley and Harriett Husman (his third cousin, both of whom are now deceased.

The information on my paternal grandmother Nettie Delle "Piper" Beezley's side of the family was acquired from a book called "Alvords History". This book was published in 1902 and contained the names and histories of the prominent families of Noble County, Indiana of which my great grandfather George W. Piper was one of them. Some of the other information that I have was acquired from funeral memorials of relatives.

My paternal grandfather Harwood H. Beezley was a first cousin to Lloyd C. Douglas, the author of "The Robe", "Magnificent Obessession", "Home For Christmas" and many others. His mother, Sarah Cassel and my great-grandmother Mary "Cassel" Beezley were sisters. I am also interested in his two daughter's families. I do know the one daughter had two sons and lived in Canada. I believe that the other daughter had no children.

The information on my mother's side of the family was given to me by the children of my mother's twin sister Doris Crusen Miller. My mother's parents were James Edward Crusen and Hettie Virginia Johnston.

I have received quite a bit of information about my maternal grandfather's side of the family from Mr. Floyd Ginger of Illinois. He has been very helpful by sending me files. I was able to find out that there were several spellings of Crusen (Croesen, Crusen, Crusan, Cruser, Krewser, Kroesen, Kroeser, etc.) which was very confusing when trying to create my family tree. I have also been able to find a lot of information from the internet family tree maker but haven't been able to "untangle" the information as a lot of the people had the same first name.

I have very little information on my maternal grandmother's side of the family. Her father was James Monroe Johnston and she was born in West Virginia. Her mother's maiden name was Heflin (she died a few days after my grandmother was born). I do know that she had at least one half sister and a half brother, their names were Rose and John Johnston.

I am also interested in finding information on a great-uncle, his name was Dr. John J. Piper and he lived in the state of Washington. I do know he was still living in 1887 when his mother died. I have also found the following information. "On March 18, 1881, Mr. Marcus D. Wright was united in marriage to Miss Bertie Piper, a daughter of Dr. John J. Piper, of Peone Prairie, Washington, who was for twelve years one of the county commissioners of Spokane county, Washington. Mrs. Wright passed away in 1901, being survived by her husband and seven children, two sons and five daughters". I have no other information on him. I am interested in information on the date of his death and where he is buried.
