The K. B. Twyman Family Home Page

I'm researching my own family tree - the Twyman family of Jefferson County, Kentucky. My family has been located primarily in the Kentucky/Virginia/Southeast United States area. In addition to the Twyman surname, I'm also looking at the Willis, Rowland, Black, Cobb, Gramig/Gramich, Owen, Dupuy, Stephens, Fuller, Champion, Kaigler and Smith surnames.

I've been fairly successful in the Rowland-Dupuy-Owen line, thanks to the work of others that I've been able to tap into (especially Mom's cousin, Cora). The Dupuy line arrived in this country in the person of Bartholomew Dupuy - a French Huguenot, who landed in Manekintown, Virginia in 1699.

I've also been fairly successful tracking the Gramig/Gramich line, once again thanks to the work of others, notably Jerry Gramig, Jr. and Udo Herkenroth.

Thanks to Floyd Kaigler for his valuable input to the Kaigler branch of our family tree.

I also owe thanks to my cousin, Annie Shimp, for her assistance in tracking down our mutual ancestors in the Twyman, Stephens and Fuller lines.

Currently, I'm working with Graham C. Owen and other relatives to compile a genealogy of the Owen clan.
