18. JAMES JETT4 QUEEN (ARMSTEAD3, CHARLES2, CHARLES1) was born 1813 in Rooting Creek, Harrison County, Virginia, and died 1899 in Harrison County, West Virginia. He married SARAH Q. BENNETT 1835 in Harrison County, Virginia, daughter of MOSES BENNETT and MARY QUEEN. She was born October 10, 1814 in Hackers Creek, Upshur County, Virginia, and died 1874 in Harrison County, West Virginia.

James Jett Queen, a son of Armstead Queen and Minnie (Jett) Queen of the second generation was (born in 1813), died in 1899, aged 86. He owned a large farm one mile below Johnstown on Rooting Creek, in Harrison County, West Virginia. He was a successful farmer and stockman owning fine horses and was a great teamster as there were few rail roads in this country at that time.
About the year of 1835, he married Miss Sarah (Sally) Bennett (born Oct. 10, 1814) his first cousin, a daughter of Mary (Queen) and Moses Bennett.

In January 1861, a group of Virginians with southern sympathies began to
drill three times a week on the Harrison County courthouse lawn in
Clarksburg. Under the command of Captain Thomas D. Armesy this company
was originally known as the Harrison Cavalry. Company "B" was organized
on August 20, 1862, and mustered into service five days later at Mill
Point, (W)VA. Queen, Commadore P. - Private, Co B; enl 8/25/1862 at Mill Point;
absent, sick 10/31/63

Martin Monroe Queen, a son of Armstead Queen and Miss Minnie (Jett), Queen, was (born in 1817) into the second generation of the Queen family. He was a successful farmer and stockman in Braxton County, W. Va. He married Miss Margaret Gregory, his first cousin, daughter of William and Sarah H. Haley
( Queen ) Gregory.

Margaret Queen Gregory, a daughter of William Gregory and Miss Sarah (Queen) Gregory, was (born in 1816). She married Martin Queen, a son of Armstead Queen and Minnie (Jett) Queen, her own first cousin, Married August 9 1838.
Margaret Gregory has been given the middle name of Queen, her mothers maiden name to seperate her from other Margaret Gregory's, by Carl E. Queen
in this revised version of the Queen Family Tree.

Maximelia Queen, a daughter of Armstead Queen and his second wife, Miss Minnie (Jett) Queen, was born in 1820 on Gnatty Creek on the old Queen homestead Harrison County, Virginia , now Harrison Co., West Va. She married Isaac Brake as his second wife, on July 12, 1852.

Isaac Brake was married twice. Jemima Maxmelia Queen was his second wife. Isaac Brake owned a fine farm on Turkey Run, Upshur Co., West Va. and was a man of no small means.
