He married MISSOURI FRANCES GILLIAN October 31, 1867 in Gallia Cnty, OH, daughter of DAVID GILLIAN and CLARISSA ALLISON. She was born December 1848 in Sandfork, Walnut Twnp, Gallia County, Ohio, and died November 20, 1901 in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio.

AMES BROOKS QUEEN:

James Queen died at the home of his daughter, Letitia. He was a soldier of the Civil War, entering February 20, 1865 at the age of 21. Term of enlistment was to be for one year. He served in the 193rd Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company B. This regiment was organized at Camp Chase Ohio in March 13, 1865, 997 men, Colonel Eugene Powell commander. Immediately after its organization, the Regiment started for Shenandoah Valley Virginia.
Assigned to 2nd Brigade, 1st Provisional Division, Army of the Shenandoah, March 20. March to Charleston March 21, and duty there till April 4.
Transferred to 2nd Brigade, 2nd Provisional Division, March 27. Moved to Winchester April 4, and duty there till August, Mustered out August 4, 1865. 842 men, Colonel Powell still commanding. Regiment lost during service 29
Enlisted men by disease.
It was mustered out of service August 4th, 1865, in accordance with orders from the War Department. Discharged August 8th 1865,address Sandfork, Ohio. Dis. Inc.-Rheumatism;Rem.-none; M.C.D./Page-Walnut Twp./3.
In this Family history James was given the middle name of Brooks, his mothers maiden name to keep him separated from other James Queen in the family history.
