I am researching as many branches of my family tree as I can, and have traced my paternal ancestors, the Fitzgeralds, back to Michael Fitzgerald of Washington, DC, who immigrated from Ireland in the mid-1800s. I have no info on Michael prior to that. Michael Fitzgerald's wife, Mary Brannan, I have traced to her parents, John Brannan and Mary whose maiden name I do not know. John immigrated from Ireland in the early 1800s and Mary was born in Kentucky. I have no prior info on either of them. I am also interested in my paternal ancestors, the Mohlers, who have been traced back to James Thomas Mohler of Washington, DC, whose family immigrated from Switzerland in the mid-1800s. I have no info on James prior to that. James Thomas Mohler's wife, Mary Elizabeth Harvey, was born in Maryland. I have no info on Mary prior to that. Other paternal ancestors I am interested in are my Great-grandparents, George William Andrews of New York and Rose Maria Smith of Washington, DC. I am currently working on finding more information on them. I have traced my maternal ancestors, the Shanahans, back to David Shanahan of Chicago, IL, who immigrated from Ireland in the early 1800s. I have no definite info on David prior to that. David Shanahan's wife, Ellen Collins or Reynolds, I have no definite info about prior to their marriage. I have traced my maternal ancestors, the Borowskis, back to Paul Matthew Borowski of Northampton, MA, who immigrated from Poland (then a part of Russia) in the late 1800s. I have no info on Paul prior to that. Paul Matthew Borowski's wife, Emma Katherine Jablonowski of Northampton, MA, immigrated from Poland (not sure of what part or to which country it belonged at that time) in the late 1800s. I have no info on Emma prior to that. I am willing to share what info I have on my ancestors and would be very grateful for any info about them that I do not have.
