Find Family

I am doing research on the family of my Great Grandmother Margaret Julia McCarron Hazel. Her family emigrated to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from Huron County, Ontario, Canada. Before that her Grandfather Michael Timothy McCarron and her Grandmother Isabella Drummond emigrated to Canada from Scotland and Ireland. I am looking for any information on the family.

I have started research on my Father's side of the family. His parents were Stanislaw (Stanley) Ulanski and Anastacia Eugenia Wojtkowiak. Stanley emigrated from Izbica, Russia/Poland on April 4th 1909 on board the Philadelphia at Ellis Island. He had a brother already here, Miecyslaw (Max) Ulanski. Max arrived in 1905 aboard the Main at the Port of Baltimore.

Anastacia arrived when she was 9mths old in 1892. She came with her mother Marianna Roznowski Wojtkowiak. They arrived with Peter Wojtkowiak age 17, Uncle or cousin, Stanislav 3, and Franiscek 2. They came on the Weimar of the North German Line. The ship arrived in New York Harbor on Aug 2, 1892 but they did not come ashore until the next day at the Port of Baltimore. Her father Thomas was already hear the story goes but I have not been able to find his arrival record. Thomas had a brother Andreas or Andrew that came in 1907 at the age of 29. This family is from Kamieniec, Kaminetz Germany/Poland.

I have since found out that Peter lied his age in order to leave the Empire of Germany. He was really 19 and the brother Thomas.

In a deposition that Marianna gave on November 28,1942, she states that Franiscek (Frank) was born in the village of Rakujady, province of Posen, Poland. I found this village near Skoki LDS Film # 1191495. She states he was born on February 22,1884. The church record has him born on February 20th and baptized on February 24th,1884. It lists the parents as Thomas and Maryanna Roznowska Wojtkowiak.

She also states she married Thomas Wojtkowiak in Klock in 1884. On LDS Film # 1978158 for Klecko I found a Franiscek Wojtkowiak and a Marianna Roznowska married on February 24,1884. On March 15,1885 I found a death record for a Joseph Wojtkowiak also of Kamieniec, he was only 26 days old and his parents were Thomas and Marianna Wojtkowiak. The witnesses to the marraige were Anthony Roznowski and Adalbert Kawznyski.

On the same film I found the marraige record of a Thomas Koralewski and a Elizabeth Roznowska on January 20,1884. The Witnesses to this wedding were Adalbert Kawznski and Michael Kusniczkiewicz.

Andrew Wojtkowiak also gave a deposition to establish Frank's age. He states that he was born in the village of Kamieniec and also resided in Rakujady.

All members of the two wedding were from Kamieniec. There was a Kamieniec near Klecko.
