| I am researching the Stevens-Richardson families. Both families left Ireland at the time of the famine. After a stay in England, they immigrated to the US abt 1870, settling in the Blackstone Valley area of R.I. I'm hoping to find information on the ancestors of the following. We know that Thomas Francis Richardson married Ann Agnes Stevens, in Pawtucket, R.I.,on May 15, 1881.The parents of Thomas were,(John?Michael)Richardson, and Elizabeth(Eliza)Hogue(Hogge).Known siblings of Thomas, Alice,Michael, and John.Ann's parents were Patrick Stevens and Mary Finley. Her siblings were James, Michael, Mary, John, Patrick, Dominic, and Briget.Mary Finley's parents were John Finley, and Mary Durkin. The families seem to have originated in the Connaught region of Ireland. Sligo, Meath, and Mayo are namesthat have been mentioned. If you see a possible connection, I'll be happy to share information. Evelyn Ulmer Rt. 2, Box 14 Lockney, Tx. 79241 maulmer@door.net |
