He married MALINDA JANE CLARK May 30, 1867, daughter of THOMAS CLARK and MARIA KINDER. She was born December 14, 1849 in Barry, Pike, IL, and died May 25, 1920 in Seattle, King, WA.

Elias is found in the 1880 Census for Barry, Pike, Illinois. He is erroneously listed as

"Handcock, Edward" White, Male, Age 33, Retired Farmer, birthplace IL. Shows his parents as both being born in Virginia.
Jane (his wife) W, F, 31, born in Illinois, Father born in Ohio, mother in Virginia.

Notes for MALINDA JANE CLARK:
Malinda, along with children Charles, Clara, and Harry, are found in the 1900 Census for Oswego, Labette, Kansas.

My grandmother, Eva Jane was born Dec. 1901, so the family moved after Charles married Josephine in Oct. 1900.
