Notes for Anne Elizabeth Carroll: Ann Elizabeth (Carroll) Underwood was one of nine children born to Michael F. Carroll and Mary Malone Carroll in Hillsboro Ohio. The Carroll family owned and operated the M. F. Carroll & Sons Carriage Manufacturers Co. in Hillsboro and Portsmouth Ohio. She was educated and graduated from Hillsboro High School and was an accomplished pianist. She moved with her Husband Arthur to Columbus Ohio and raised 4 children. Known to us grand children as Nanna, she was one of the sweetest persons in our recollection. Anne lived into her 94th year and we were all fortunate to have her for so many years. She was loved and is missed.
