THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF EASTLAND

Before me, the undersigned authority, on

this day personally appeared Mrs. D.M. Underwood, who being

by me duly sworn upon oath deposes and says:

That she was born in the State of Texas,

on the 23rd day of February 1859, and that she has resided in

the said State of Texas continually up to the present time, and

that she has resided in the County of Comanche 38 years next

preceeding the date of this affidavit.

Affiant further states that she is the

wife of J.V. Underwood, deceased, who departed this live on

February 9th, 1920; that upon the date of the death of her said

husband, J.V. Underwood, she and her deceased husband, were the

owners of a certain tract of land in Comanche County,Texas,

containing 80 acres of land, and being the S 1/2 of the S E 1/4

Section 15,D & D Asylum Lands, listed on the tax rolls of Comanche

County, Texas, and valued at $1200.00; that said property is now

owned jointly by affiant and the children of herself and

J.V.Underwood, deceased, namely:

J.W.Underwood, W.L.Underwood, Mrs. W.R.

Swan and Mrs. G.F. Nunnally, all of whom are now living, and

that affiant only owns an undivided 1/2 interest in said pro-

perty; that the value thereof, as shown on the tax record of

Comanche County,Texas, does not exceed the sum of $1200.00.
