We are having two family reunions in 2000 for the Underwoods in our immediate families, one in Mt. Vernon, IL. and one in Twin Falls, ID. Out of a family of 12 siblings, in my immefiate side of the Underwood family there are only 4 of us left.
I have found several people on both my side of the family and my wife's side researching various parts of our family trees. Since I am now retired I am getting those bits and pieces together and using our latest grand daughter as a base to ancestry. Thanks to Family Tree Maker I have now over 1000 names included and I am entering new ones every day and the notes are fantastic.
There are a lot of names in the various branches of our family tree and I personally find it exciting to tie in the relationships that I only suspected in the past.
My wife and I have discovered that we have cousins all around us , here in the St. Louis, Mo. area, that we have never even met.
It is one of the most personally rewarding things I have ever done as a relaxing passtime.
