UNRUH (David A. & Judith E. (nee: Bender)) FAMILY HOME PAGE

We have spent years trying to locate information regarding our families. Neither of us have family that want to or are willing to talk. Family history is being lost daily and we hope to be able to "save" at least a little part of our families' historys.
Names we would be interested in are: Unruh (Germany, Poland, Russia(?). We were told that David's father (Gustav) exited Germany through Poland. An incomplete "lineage chart" shows an uncle of his being born in Radawzcyk, near Lublin in 1894. Also an aunt was born in Elisenhof, near Thorn April 4, 1907. This chart also contains the name Elfi Unehelich. It is possible that she is a half-sister, born on March 29, 1925. We did not know of her until we received this chart. Other surnames appearing on this chart are: Eichorst, Will, Marchel, Sonnenberg, Hartfil, Spreuger, Liedtke/Friseur, Zukowski, and Schlese.

Surnames we are looking for on the Bender side are: Bender (Pennsylvania Dutch), Wuori (Finland), and Laplander (Finland), folklure supplies this surname. Supposedly when the family arrived in this country the processor couldn't understand the spelling of the family member's name, so asked what part of Finland they were from, the answer was Lapland.

Would appreciate any information regarding these names.
