| I have recently been researching my family tree. I have decided however, that instead of just researching one side only I am going to research all sides of my family. My hope is to be able find information about not only my parents families but also my husbands parents families as well. I want my children to have access to information about thier entire family tree not just one branch. Here are some facts I have found out about some of the families. In 1972 the life expectancy of the Reigstads was 66 years versus 70 years for the general public. There are 2292 Dawson veterans of the Civil War - 987 Confederate and 1305 Union. There are only 2 Unzen veterans of the Civil War and they were both Union. The Erdmanns had 2 Confederate and 27 Union veterans. It's the Johnsons who really joined the war with 13068 Confederate members and 22226 Union members. I should mention here that there were no Reigstads on either side of the Civil War. |
