Ernestine Edwards Upchurch

My immediate quest is to learn the parents of John Davidson or{Dawson} Campbell of Maiden, NC. His date of birth is August 11, 1812, date of marriage is February 11,1834 to Elizabeth Bumgarner in Lincoln Co.NC now Catawba Co.Nc and he died in the fall of 1896.
My interests are in family stories and the connection to local history, wherever my ancestors lived.The surnames of greatest interest are Edwards, Upchurch, Campbell, Caldwell, Sumner, Lisenbee, Bumgarner, Crocker, Burns, Wilson,Howell, Ferguson,Naillon,Ratcliffe,Gibson,Plott,Potter,Moses.
States where these folks lived include CT,NY,Pa,NC,SC,Al,possibly others. I will appreciate any source of information or clues you can offer.
