THE JOHN W. UPHOFF'S OF KANKAKEE, ILLINOIS

I am researching the John Wesley Uphoff III Family Tree. The Uphoff Tree begins in Upende Germany with the Birth of Abba Noen Uphoff on August 27, 1812. He was the son of Yann Geerdes Cornelius and Hilke Noen Uphoff He eventually came to the United States some time before 1860. He settled in Livingston County, Illinois and first shows up on the U. S. Census of 1860 in Livingston County, Illinois. He married Gritze Haren on September 27, 1863 in Livingston County, Illinois. He and Gritze had a son John Heinrich Uphoff born on August 17, 1864. The Census of 1870 shows three step sisters and one step brother to John Heinrich. Gritze died in 1868 and is buried in Chatsworth, Illinois Cemetery as is Abba who died in 1902. John Heinrich married Estella Rosella Maddin on October 5, 1887 in Livingston County, Illinois. This union produced six boys and one girl. John Wesley Uphoff II (my Father) was born on October 1, 1900 in Charlotte, Livingston County, Illinois. John Wesley Uphoff II married Anna Mae Wilson on May 25, 1925in Kankakee, Illinois. They settled in Onarga, Illinois. John Wesley Uphoff III was born in Watseka, Illinois on February 11, 1926 and his sister Estella Margaret Uphoff was born in Watseka, Illinois on March 4, 1927. John Wesley Uphoff Married Beverly Jean Colebank on September 2, 1949. John Wesley Uphoff IV was born on August 28, 1950 and James Wayne Uphoff was born on July 10, 1954.
John Wesley Uphoff IV married Aimee Christensen and John Wesley Uphoff V was born on August 28, 1983. I have researched the Wilson's, Colebank's, Mooberry, Maddin's, Irwinin's, back to early 1700 in america and the Irwin's to 989 in Europe. I have nearly 3000 names in the tree at this time .
