Family of Howard Dewey Aliff Sr.

In the Fall of 1962, my parents migrated from Raleigh County West Virginia to Lorain County Ohio. They then moved to Mahoning County Ohio in 1970.

Having no close relatives living in Ohio except for my immediate family, I never had a chance to get to know aunts, uncles, cousins, etc., as well as I would have liked. Conducting research concerning the different lines of my family has made me feel more connected to my roots.

This will be a never-ending project. I enjoy doing the research. I have attempted to include primary sources that will confirm information that I have entered. I cannot confirm any information that I have entered that does not have primary sources supporting it.

Other surnames in my lineage are Belcher, Austin, Rogers, Tucker, and Ferrell. Although my immediate family is from Raleigh County WV, many of my ancestors have roots in Logan County WV.


I am willing to share information with others and would love to hear from anyone who could add, confirm, or correct information that I have submitted.
